19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard surfaces

A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden title for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.

The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just one match at the big events and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-term trainer his previous coach.

Presently training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.

It is Medvedev's initial title after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court after March of that year.

Victory also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one different competitions.

"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This championship is in tribute of my child her name, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his last six championship matches, comprising in that event earlier this year.

Medvedev's retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on court had prompted commentators to question if his ability to play at the highest level was finished.

However the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.

The champion came back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the concluding five games to take the lead.

The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional victory, seized the initiative to create a final set.

He rescued 4 early-game break points in a close third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to serve for the match.

Suitably, he clinched the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
